Founded in North Carolina, Bellday Books is a small press that specializes in publishing the finest in contemporary American poetry.

Bellday Books made its debut in publishing with the highly acclaimed Music from Words by Marc Jampole. Since publishing Music from Words, Bellday Books has continued to select fresh and provocative manuscripts for publication through the Bellday Poetry Prize contest.

Bellday prize winners are selected by highly esteemed American poets, with past contest final judges including Allen Grossman, Linda Gregerson, Lucia Perillo, Elaine Equi and Rae Armantrout.

Bellday Books has ceased operations.
